How do I perform vector calculations in Polar form on the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition?

The example below will demonstrate how to perform vector calculations in Polar form.

NOTE: For this example, the mode settings will need to be changed.

• Press [MODE].
• Press [▲] [ENTER]
• Press [▼] [▼] [►] [►] [►].
• Press [ENTER]. This will set the settings to show solutions to the hundredth decimal point.
• Press [▼] [►] [ENTER]. This will display the solution in Degrees.
• Press [▼] [▼] [▼] [▼] [►] [►] to highlight the option for re^θi .
• Press [ENTER]. This will display the solution in Polar form.
• Press [CLEAR] to return to the home screen

Example: Add 12∠40° + 30∠67°.

• Press [1] [2] [2ND] [e^x].
• Press [4] [0] [2ND] [π].
• Press [÷]
• Press [1] [8] [0].
• Press [2ND] [i] [►]
• Press [+]
• Press [3] [0]
• Press [2ND] [e^x].
• Press [6] [7].
• Press [2ND] [π] [÷].
• Press [1] [8] [0].
• Press [2ND] [i] [►]
• Press [ENTER] to complete the calculation.
